In order to deliver wellness to others, we must be well ourselves. The foundation of Clarissa’s programs are all centered in self-care, preventative care and repair. Just like many other people, Clarissa was exhausted from her daily grind. She was in the restaurant and hospitality industry for nearly 20 years. She woke up one day and realized that she needed to find a better way to live.
She wanted a better way to be able to be high functioning, and feel less overworked.
Today Clarissa’s work is deeply embedded in her life changing metamorphosis. She works extensively with people who have suffered the negative effects of demanding careers and poor lifestyle choices, like she used to have and who have simply drained their bodies, relationships and dreams of vitality and optimum health.
Clarissa Kussin is a certified Integrative Nutrition and Functional Medicine Health Coach, personal chef and yoga teacher who has spent the past 23 years striving to raise the standard of whole food cooking and implement mindfulness techniques for expanded employee satisfaction through work- life balance in each establishment she has engaged with. Clarissa at heart is a “Nutritarian”. She is the visionary and creator of Full Lotus. Raised in a home steeped in Western Medicine and fused with natural foods, she was eating “Whole Food” before it was cool and was often found as a young child sitting next to her dad in his medical school lectures at Mt Sinai. Clarissa became interested in the cause and effect relationship between the health of her body and mind and the foods that she ate which led to her enrolling in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City. She then further expanded her knowledge by studying Plant Based Nutrition with Dr. Collin T. Campbell through his Cornell University program which propelled her to increase her knowledge and understanding of the bodies systems at the International School of Detoxification with the beloved Dr. Robert Morse. Clarissa was awarded a full scholarship at the Functional Medicine Health Coaching Academy as a direct result of the pro bono work she has dedicated herself to with our nations Wounded Heroes, Veterans and their caregivers. She is convinced that her certification from the Integrative Restoration Institute has strengthened and beautifully combined all of her practices. Currently, Clarissa is studying Naturopathy, Iridology and Herbology at Trinity School of Natural Health. Fusing the essential business elements of her career with her own diverse culinary style and lifestyle enhancement skills, her distinct “ conscious lifestyle cuisine” was born.
